PATH TO A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SEMINAR
This seminar will introduce cutting-edge technologies and strategies for a sustainable future. Specifically, we will focus on "Waste-to-Energy (WTE)" technology, which generates energy from waste, and delve into its importance as a long-term strategy. Additionally, through the latest information on renewable energy, participants will learn concrete approaches toward achieving a sustainable society.
Furthermore, we will introduce Integrated Waste Management (IWM) and the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) initiatives, providing ideas for creating a clean and smart future.

1️⃣ WHB on Integrated Solution Waste Management Centre (ISWMC) - A Holistic Solution for Sustainable Waste Management (30 min)
This session introduces the Integrated Solid Waste Management Centre (ISWMC) in Selangor, which combines waste-to-energy, anaerobic digestion, material recovery, and engineered landfilling technologies in one facility. Led by WHB and the Selangor State Government, this initiative sets a new standard for sustainable waste management by reducing environmental impact and generating economic value. Partnership opportunities with tech providers and equipment manufacturers will also be discussed.
2️⃣ KDEB: How Selangor is Creating Value Through 3Rs (30 min)
Waste is no longer just something to discard; itʼs a valuable resource. In this ses- sion, KDEB Waste Management will demonstrate how 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recy- cle) practices are creating value across households, communities, and indus- tries. From digital recycling platforms to advanced material recovery, KDEB is exploring technologies for a circular economy and seeking collaboration with tech providers, solution developers, and recycling innovators to build smarter, sustainable waste systems in Selangor.
